MEET RYAN

I am a third generation Carmel resident. My wife Elise and I have chosen to raise our sons James and Edward here. I am extremely proud of this community that has given me so much and want to ensure that it stays exceptional for future generations. As an attorney with experience administering state government for the past eight (8) years, both at the Indiana State Police and the Office of the Indiana Treasurer of State, I have had the opportunity to help communities across the state find creative and common-sense ways to serve their residents and solve their challenges and been able to effectively advocate at the federal, state, and local levels. I am running for Carmel City Council Northwest to bring that expertise home to help ensure that Carmel continues to strategically and responsibly meet the needs of its residents – our needs – now and into the future.

How I See Carmel:

Carmel has a phenomenal school system, best in class public safety institutions, a strategic approach to roads and infrastructure that continues to keep up with growth, a one-of-a-kind city center that serves as a place of community and recreation for the region, and a fiscally responsible base and process set to ensure those things for the foreseeable future. We didn’t get here by accident- you don’t get to the top of the “Best Places to Live” lists without intentionality, imagination, and determination. People choose to live in Carmel and businesses choose to operate here because we have continuously focused on making Carmel the best it can be.

My Pledge:

To continue on the path of remembering who we are and planning for where we are going, I promise to be a voice on the Council that continues to strive for excellence in Carmel and to be rational as I approach all issues that come before the Council. All proposals will be reviewed strategically for their impact on the present as well as their impact on the near-term and long-term future. Top of mind will be the fiscal stability of the city and the protection of the property values owned by its residents with every decision I will make as your representative. I will work each day to protect the things that make Carmel the place that our residents have chosen to build our lives.

I am Ryan Locke, and I am asking for your support in my run for Carmel City Council in the Northwest District.
